Prospective Members
The Cobb Lab aims to provide a diverse skill-set spanning fundamental physical/materials chemistry, device fabrication, electrochemical and computational techniques.
As a lab we aim to make a significant contribution that truly impacts and changes the state-of-the-art in climate and energy technologies. This is a major challenge and only possible with the best people. We are looking for highly motivated members who strive to be exceptional — and succeed as the future leaders in their chosen area of chemistry. This requires dedication, focus, hard work, resourcefulness, and the willingness to constantly seek to improve one’s scientific, technical, and communication abilities in a supporting and nurturing environment. Following their time in the Cobb lab we expect members of the Cobb lab to be experts in their field, have developed partnerships and collaborations with other research groups around the world, and be fully equipped to progress to the next stage of their career.
Group members also recognise the challenges inherent in achieving the above goals and strive to create a supportive, collaborative environment, where the contributions of each researcher are valued and respected. You can read our group philosophy document, to get a sense of what our team cares about.
